Any chance they'll come down under???

This is great to see!
Does this mean armageddon is close??
I'd just love to hear the watchtower spin on this one. Anyone heard what witnesses are saying about the apparent lack of growth in alot of countries? Usually you'd think that when the work is slowing down it means the harvest is complete and the end should be soon.
I'd love to see a comparison in the baptism of non-jws (non-jw parents) vs the growth of non jw-population in the world. Has anyone looked at this. I think this would clearly show that the longer god waits the more people he's gonna have to destroy at armageddon.
taken from, the intelligence agents by dr. timothy leary, ph.d:.
beware of monotheism monotheism is the primitive religion which centers human consciousness on hive authority.
there is one god and his name is (substitute hive-label).
I agree with you tetrapod.
I guess the way leary worded it didn't make sense to me. He just makes it sound like the next evolutionary step precludes the idea of the existence of a higher being or beings. I believe the that evolutionary step should be open to any possibility and the recognition that the universe is bigger than just what our mind percieves.

I definitely agree with monotheism being a technology.
The major evolutionary step is taken when the individual says: "There is only one God who creates the universe. This God is my Brain.
But i find this above statement a bit wishy washy. Does he explain why this is a major evolutionary step?? It just seems to me to be a bit of empty rhetoric.
a few months ago we had a local needs part about supporting the cbs field service on saturday.
it was given by a nice older elder, but what he said was pretty scary.
he used all the phrases and logic that are usually used for meeting attendance.
I don't think anyone really looks forward to field service. That's the thing about JW's. They are sooo half hearted in what they do. That's one of the strongest indicators that the whole JW system is a bunch of crappola.
i received an sms last night from ozzie himself saying on saturday he collapsed and had to be taken by ambulance to hospital.. he is being operated on again this morning (wednesday 29/6/05 australia time).
as usual with the particular operation he is having there are serious risks.
i ask his friends to send anything positive his way today.
Oh No!!
Hope you get better quick, ozzie!
Thanks for the info bliss oxo
if you don't believe in the 360 points mentioned in the "bible topics for discussion," {at the back of the nwt} you aren't a jw?
[if there is just one point, just one little, etty bitty point... goodness me you can't be a jw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
] yeah, i don't think it's on the watchtower program... just in the printed nwt only.
Does anyone know if there have been any major changes to the qualification 4 baptism questions since the last book?

Do Dubs in Israel use "the Divine name"?
They had to stop due to the increasing number of stonings by jewish women wearing fake beards.
have you ever noticed someone who has a 1000 yard (meters for you english types.
well i keep noticing that dub women in particular have this creepy 1000 yard stare.
and then a while after my wife got dunked she and the kids got in one of those picture booths.
Well all i know, is that back when i was in the org there were a few people that had that odd stare. It was always a small number and they were always a bit weird or funny and everyone knew it. I think they were just a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. Probably nothing to do with the fact that they were JW's although the troof would probably have amplified any eccentricities in these kind of people.
